Traditional Moringa Preparation Method
We follow a meticulous, traditional 7-step preparation method for our premium Moringa powder to ensure maximum purity and nutrient retention.
Harvesting and Selection
Our process begins with the careful harvesting of fresh Moringa leaves. It is crucial to harvest leaves early in the morning before the sun is at its peak to prevent wilting and nutrient degradation.
Only mature, vibrant green leaves are selected, as they contain the highest concentration of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids.
Stripping and Sorting
Once harvested, the leaves are stripped from the main branches and stems. Stems, twigs, and any yellowing or damaged leaves are meticulously removed.
Stems can make the final powder fibrous and bitter, so achieving a pure leaf yield is essential for high-quality powder.
Washing and Sanitization
The sorted leaves undergo a thorough washing process to remove dust, dirt, and any potential surface microbes.
They are typically washed first in clean running water, followed by a mild saline or organic sanitizing rinse, and finally rinsed again with pure, filtered water.
Draining and Shadow Drying
The leaves are placed in perforated trays and colanders to drain excess water. They are dried using low-temperature mechanical dehydrators (usually between 35°C to 45°C).
Direct sun drying destroys the delicate vitamins (like Vitamin A and C) and turns the bright green leaves an unappealing brown.
Grinding and Milling
Once the leaves are crisp and completely devoid of moisture (usually after 2 to 4 days of shadow drying), they are ready for milling.
The dried leaves are fed into a clean, commercial-grade stainless-steel grinder to produce a smooth, fine powder.
Sifting and Grading
To ensure the powder is perfectly smooth and water-soluble for teas, capsules, or smoothies, the freshly ground powder is passed through a micro-mesh sieve (often 80-mesh or finer).
This step catches any remaining coarse fibers or unground veins, resulting in a premium grade product.
Quality Testing and Packaging
The final powder is tested rigorously for moisture content, purity, and microbial safety to meet international export standards.
It is then immediately sealed in airtight, moisture-proof, and UV-resistant packaging to preserve its vibrant color and nutritional potency.
